Camping Fornella is owned and managed by our family (the Cavazza's). We are four brothers and three sisters and we all live and work on Lake Garda. Camping has been our core business for many years, Our father started "Fornella" as a small and basic camp-ground in the late 50's, the family has been running it and developing it ever since. We all follow different branches of our business and put a lot of energy in our work, we also take good care of the environment we work in and are personally involved in conservation programs in the area. Our family business includes Camping Fontanelle, our second site in Moniga del Garda; The Baia Verde Boat centre just next to Fornella; a large olive farm where we produce the most delicious extravergin olive oil and the beautiful private Island that has been our family home over the centuries. Isola del Garda is a place of rare and special beauty. A precious jewel, bursting with history, memories and legends. A treasure surrounded by clear waters of the lake. A picturesque rock that has welcomed ancient people from Romans to the Longobards. It was home of St. Francis, St. Anthony of Padova, St. Bernard of Siena and probably Dante Alighieri. The early 20th century villa built in Neo-Gothic-Venetian style rises up southwards, in all its elegance and charm. This impressive and harmonious building is full of surprising architectural details with Italian style terraces and gardens sloping down to the lake. The Island opens its treasures for guided tours (independent travellers, groups and schools) from April to September.

Enjoy our swimming-pools! They cover a surface area of over 1200 square meters. with a lagoon, a Jacuzzi area, water-games and infant pool all with lifeguard assistance. You can sun bathe in the 3000 square meters pool gardens, have a drink at the Bar or take part in the aqua-gym lessons or the other activities organised by our animation team.

We have a "Morning Beach" and an "Evening Beach".
The "morning Beach" ,facing south-east, is quiet and exclusive with a magnificent view on Isola del Garda and shallow clear water.
The "evening beach" , facing south-west, enjoyes the sun the whole day long, close to the bar, the restaurant and other facilities.

The Bar, restaurant and pizzeria with the unique terrace overlooking the lake are the ideal places to spend a pleasant evening among friends. Taste our selection of wines, our pasta, Pizza and children’s menu.

Our well-supplied mini-market is open every day; Hot baguettes and fresh bread available daily, including Sunday.

If you have a boat this is the right place for you! Thanks to “ Baia Verde” our nautical boat centre , we can offer your boat a “very special treatment” *Beaching and launching services + trolley parking Possible beaching and launching with slide or crane depending on your needs. *Washing facilities included in price as well as the assistance of our staff. Our guests can also moor their boats on one of our buoys but this service must be booked in advance.

We have a boat rental service too !!

At Fornella, children can let off steam in the freedom of our large playgrounds, or become members of our “mini-club” (open in high season) and take part in many activities organised especially for them, or learn to understand the lake and the surrounding nature through games and make many new friends. Our animation programs include aqua-gym sessions, water games, tournaments and live music evenings.

The tennis court and five-a-side football pitch are great places to enjoy challenges, book at reception or contact our animation team members!!
