The second-largest city in Italy, Milan, it’s popular all around the world for its fashion industry and for its well-known shopping street: Via Montenapoleone, where are concentrated the most important national and international designer labels. But Milan is not only fashion: this surprising city is also rich in art, history and culture. Among the things that visitors can’t afford to miss are: the impressive Duomo, a white marble Gothic cathedral with a multitude of spires and statues on its façade, the Teatro alla Scala, one of the most famous opera house in the world, and Santa Maria delle Grazie church, which houses “The Last Supper”, the renowned painting by Leonardo da Vinci. There is also a great number of museums and art galleries such as the Pinacoteca di Brera Gallery and the Civic Archaeological Museum. All this can keep tourists entertained for several days!
