Sassari
Sassari, the second-largest town in Sardinia and also the one with the oldest university, rises at the foot of a limestone tableland and it’s surrounded by winding hills. The town is also well-known for the Cavalcata Sarda, a traditional horse ride which occurs in May and has very ancient origins.
