Florence
Florence, situated in the heart of Tuscany, is an architectural, artistic and cultural gem, known anywhere in the world, with sons like Dante, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Machiavelli. Among the things that visitors are strongly advised not to miss are the marvellous Duomo with Brunelleschi’s cupola, the Baptistery of St. John famous for the Paradise door, the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most popular museums in the world and also Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, lined with shops and jewellers. To get a great overview of the place it’s possible to climb Giotto’s bell tower, a symbol of the city and a magnificent example of Gothic architecture. Florence is well worth visiting!
